Q. I started my M.Chiro degree at another institution. Can I transfer to the Scotland College of Chiropractic?

A. During our first four years of operation you will not be able to transfer into a year we have not yet taught eg if we are on Year 1 and you have finished Year 2 at another institution, you cannot transfer into our Year 3 and be one year ahead of our first cohort.

Beyond this, the College is willing to consider applicants for advanced entry onto the M.Chiro who have already completed Level 4 or 5 of a chiropractic degree elsewhere. This process is known as the accreditation of prior certificated learning (APCL) and applicants must submit official transcripts as documentary evidence before any consideration of APCL will be made.

Q. What are the College fees? And what funding will be available to me?

A. Higher education is one of the biggest investments you will ever make and the two main costs you will face as an undergraduate student are tuition fees and living expenses.

The tuition fee set by the College is £9,250 per year (UK students). The following website provides information on funding you might be eligible for depending on where you live in the UK: https://www.ucas.com/money.

If you not eligible for funding and are a self-financing, or a sponsored student (eg your employer had agreed to pay your fees), you must arrange to pay your fees independently.

You can also contact the College if additional support is needed. Our staff continue to work behind the scenes to assist future students facing hardship and students for whom financial support might make the difference in enrolling at the College. More information will be available in due course.

Q. I am an international student, can I apply to study at the Scotland College of Chiropractic?

A. Initially we will only be able to recruit students from the UK. As a private higher education provider we must continuously teach a course of study for two years prior to applying for a student sponsor license. The timeframe for international students being able to study with us would (potentially) be from year 4 of the College opening.

Q. Where is the College campus located in Edinburgh?

A. The College campus is located in the north of the city centre in an area called Stockbridge.

Stockbridge is a lovely area with a great vibe populated by students and professionals. There is an abundance of shops close by, with a myriad of coffee shops and restaurants. The campus is a 10-minute walk into the city centre and is on major bus routes.
